this monthe i worked on a 1998 dodge durango, my truck which is a 1991 f150,and a 1997 4×4 astro van.the durango had a 318 v8 in it and me and my uncle stripped the durango down to nothing and sold it for parts.he got it for free cause the people said the transmission was trashed in it but we think it was just low on fluid.we took off the two driver side doors and the back hatch, the reese hitch and the back bumper, also the whole dog house and the engine, the dash, the steering column and also the tires and then we gave the rest of the body to a guy with a wrecker to sell as parts. the motor out of the durango we are putting in another truck because we are taking the 360 out of the other dogde truck and rebuilding the 360 while the other motor is in that truck. we left the transmission in the durango because if it is slipping we dont want to sell a bad transmission cause what you do to others happens to you. on my truck we replaced the throttle possition sensor which controls what gear you are in by how far your peddle is pushed down, cleaned out the EGR valve which helps with your idle and also helps regulate you gas like if you are using to much gas it will go the the regulator and send the gas back through the engine so you are gettting the full use of your gas,map sensor stands for manifold absolute pressure sensor which is used for how much air is compressed into your engine with the right amout of fuel, the fuel pump,we took of the air condition compressor cause it was going bad ans wass going to cost $276 and i didnt have the money so i just replaced it with a bypass pulley,we also replace my front and rear brakes,we replaced the wheel bearings,my 4×4 hubs on the front axles.i still have a lot to do. i am going to replace the motor later on with a 351 windsor and im going to take that motor and put it on an engine stand and put headers and a different set of heads on it replace all the gaskets and put a different cam shaft in it. i also plan on putting a 4 inch body lift on it with a set of 35 bf goodrich all terains on it.right now i have the parts to replace the valve pan cover gaskets, distributor, and a light switch to put on my truck right now.on the astro van we worked on it took us all day to but a coil pack on the motor cause of the cover that goes over the engine.it didnt take us that long to put on the coil pack but it did take us about two hours to put back on the cover cause we couldnt get it lined up right.

January 11 – January 29

this whole month i have been helping my uncle with his truck. his truck is an 1981 f150 and it is a two wheel drive with an automatic transmission and a 302 v8. when he frist got the truck you could open up the doors and walk in the cab but now it is like you drove it off the show room floor. when he first got the truck he had his buddy paint it a two toned tan and brown. after we finally got the truck back he took the 302 out of his truck and replaced all the pulleys and the power steering pump and bought an air condition unit pulley so he can have air in that older model truck. he replaced all the seals like the valve pan cover gaskets and the rear main seal which is best to replace when you get a chance cause if it goes back while the motor is in the truck then you have to pull the motor and then replace it. after he did all of that is when i came in and we completely transformed that truck. we turned that truck from a 81 f150 two wheel drive auto  into a 81 f250 four wheel drive manual. he bought an 86 f250 4×4 with a stick but it had a 300 6 cyl in it so what we did was trashed the body on that truck and kept the frame and transmission and axles and switched everything over. we changed out the fuel and brake lines.we replaced the fuel tanks and fuel pumps, we replaced the clutch, new carburator, drive shaft at one point because he snapped it in half,we put a 3in body lift on it and put 35in bf goodrich all terains on it,we replaced the rear shocks, put diamond plated tool boxes in the back, but carpet in his truck and but a new bench seat, put and ooga horn on his truck, put a chrome package on his truck just like when it was brand new.we pretty much took two trucks and built one by taking the motor and body from the f150 and the transmission and everthing else like the frame and axles and stuff and put it all together. we replaced pretty everything that we could.everything that could come off the truck we replaced.
